Creative Direction are once again working within the surf industry… a really good project seems to come around every 4 or 5 years. This time we’re overseeing everything visual at Saltrock, the UK’s oldest and original surf fashion brand. We are working with Saltrock’s in-house team developing a new website, marketing and advertising and handling all pr.
The new website launches at the end of August and not only is a huge leap forward for Saltrock, but it really stands out compared to the competition who seem to be lost in a world of corporate maelstrom and have totally forgotten their heritage.
A photo shoot was art directed this month by us for the Saltrock brand and the results are dramatic and a huge deviation from the predictable fashion/lifestyle shots and bleached out images of other brands. Thanks to Bjorn Thomassen, the photographer on the shoot.
Creative Direction has a vacancy for a full or part time website designer. Must be experienced and highly creative, take a look at our work and if you can match our exacting standards then a position awaits. Please email david@creativedirection.info with cv and examples of work
Creative Direction originally set up as a London Design Agency, relocating to Cornwall for all those positive reasons that are too long to list. Our London clients have included British Airways, BAA, The Grosvenor and Hambros Bank. As a design and marketing agency based in Cornwall, we can offer the experience and talent of a large agency with the personal touch of a small one… with the economic benefits associated with that. Local Cornish and clients in the South West are already benefitting from this along with some shrewd national businesses. To see how we can benefit your business and offer great value – call us now.
As one of Cornwall’s premier Graphic Design and Marketing Agencies we deliver fully integrated creative solutions both ‘off’ and ‘on’ line. We are a truly commercial agency and we understand business and the bottom line. Design and Marketing is an investment and we ensure that our clients see a return on that investment. This is even more important during recession and when business trends are slow. Marketing is one of the best investments that can be made during a recession – recent research has shown that if 2% of a market share can be gained during these difficult times, this will translate into as much as 18% when countries and businesses come out of the recession… there is one very good way to achieve this… Design, Marketing and Promotion and Creative Direction are here to ensure that this is done to the highest standards reaping the highest rewards and yields. To view our portfolio of success stories, or have a casual chat about the possibilities and opportunities just give us a call – 01872 279449
We can offer a full range of exhibition solutions. These can include simple roller banners and pop-ups or full bespoke manufactures. To see a selection of our work please visit the Exhibition section on the main site – then feel free to give us a call for a no obligation discussion or quotation.
To fulfill our clients marketing needs, Creative Direction put in place its own pr department. As with all our marketing disciplines, our approach to pr is highly integrated and always works within a very clear set of goals.
We are experienced in creating publicity across trade and consumer portals and we have outstanding national contacts within the news press, glossy magazines, broadcasting and new media.
We work with a wide range of editors on a daily basis and we know exactly what they want from a ‘press release’ or an article. Our expertise, knowledge and contacts get your products and messages in to the media and in to the public domain achieving the maximum publicity in the shortest time frames.
Our pr experience covers the widest range of brands and companies encompassing, hotels and restaurants, foods, fashion, art and sport. To see a selection of our projects please visit the Marketing and PR section on the main site – then feel free to give us a call for a no obligation discussion or quotation.
We have developed highly original and commercial packaging solutions for products as varied as fresh cream and jewellery, beer and surf wax.
At Creative Direction, mere decoration has never been a substitute for a good idea. That idea must be underscored by a strategy, thorough research and an agreed and realistic product positioning. Our solutions are then stretched far beyond the cosmetic. Our designs are distinctive, recognisable and relevant – most importantly, they are successful.
Some of these success stories have been audited and we have seen sales increases of 40% after re-packaging and branding for one dairy company and in another instance our packaged produce outsold its competitors 4 to 1 when the new packaging hit the shelves.
When designing, we always consider the commercial consequences – our fees must be seen as an investment and with packaging, unlike many other areas of marketing, these results can be easily and instantly measured. To see a selection of our work please visit the Packaging design section on the main site – then feel free to give us a call for a no obligation discussion or quotation.
Websites are an integral part of the marketing solutions offered at Creative Direction and because we are not just programmers, the web solutions we offer are very different to the predictable template led designs generated by some companies… who basically produce the same site over and over again with a different logo, a colour change and newly shaped buttons.
Each of our websites is a unique and very different experience that truly reflects the business it is promoting.
Because websites don’t just get read, they get used, browsed, linked to and searched for… they have to work too. We make design, marketing and communication work powerfully together online.
We can offer content management systems, a variety of secure e-commerce solutions, e-newsletters and targeted e-campaigns and e-promotions. Along with this we can advise on web hosting, email facilities, optimisation and traffic analysis. To see a selection of our work please visit the Website section on the main site – then feel free to give us a call for a no obligation discussion or quotation.
A few years ago our very own industry predicted the death of design for printed literature embracing e-everything. It is now clear that on-line marketing has its limitations and in fact paper based marketing is more important now than it has ever been… without it most websites would enjoy very limited traffic.
We will help you think about your brochures, flyers and marketing material in completely new ways. Paper based promotion can offer a natural structure with a ‘beginning, middle and end’, this enables us to take the reader on a measured journey, one that we will control from a marketing perspective.
We will introduce you to new, interesting formats (not just the A sizes), exciting paper textures and unique colour and print techniques. We work with a team of preferred photographers, all experts in their particular fields, so we will art direct the precise photographic results required to enhance our creative solutions.
We also offer the very best copywriting skills, again bringing in experts when required to fulfil your unique marketing requirements. To see a selection of our work please visit the Print section on the main site – then feel free to give us a call for a no obligation discussion or quotation.
Great logos don’t just look good, they communicate, inspire and involve… most importantly, they inform. Branding is the basis for all other forms of company marketing and promotion with everything visually satelliting from this central core.
Good logos are communications-driven and we spend as much time as possible talking, exploring and imagining before we put pen to paper. We get to know you the client, your business and your customers – our solutions are based on decades of marketing experience.
Only by exploring all the possibilities can we then start to refine it and clarify which routes might work and why. We then give careful consideration to colour, typography and the overall ‘tone of voice’. This working practice allows us to create identities and logos that are inventive and unique… logos that really work.
By understanding the who, how, what and why of branding we continue to produce some of the most exciting and hard working logos in the market place.
